Dotnull Inc. (the “Company”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) establishes this Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) regarding the handling of users’ personal information in the application “MorseLink” (the “App”) provided by the Company.
Article 1 (Information We Collect)
To provide the App, we may collect the following information.

Information you provide
- Account information: Email address, or authentication information for Google/Apple accounts (OAuth ID)
- Profile information: Nickname, icon image, and other information you optionally set

Information collected automatically through your use of the App
- Learning metrics: Energy consumption/recovery history, AI chat history, drill results, quest progress, etc.
- Device information: Device type (iOS/Android), OS version, language settings, advertising ID (Advertising ID)
- Log information: Operation logs, crash reports, and performance data collected via Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics
- Notification token: A token used to send push notifications
- Cookies and SDKs: The App uses third-party SDKs such as Firebase SDK. These modules may collect and use cookies and advertising IDs to analyze usage and deliver advertisements.
Article 2 (Purposes of Use)
We use the collected information for the following purposes.
- To provide, operate, maintain, protect, improve, and enhance the App
- To store your learning history, manage progress, and customize your learning experience
- To generate responses for the AI coach feature (including sending data to the OpenAI API)
- To provide energy management, quest progression, and other gamification features
- To respond to inquiries, consultations, and complaints, and to resolve disputes
- To inform you about new features, updates, campaigns, etc.
- To address violations of the Terms of Service
- To create and analyze statistical data in a manner that does not identify individuals, and to conduct marketing activities
Article 3 (Provision to Third Parties / Outsourcing)
We do not provide your personal information to any third party except in the following cases.
- With your consent
- When required by laws and regulations
- When necessary to protect a person’s life, body, or property and it is difficult to obtain consent
- When particularly necessary to improve public health or promote the sound growth of children and it is difficult to obtain consent
- When it is necessary to cooperate with a national agency, local government, or an entity entrusted by them in performing duties prescribed by laws and regulations, and obtaining your consent may impede the performance of such duties
To the extent necessary to achieve the purposes of use, we may outsource all or part of the handling of personal information to the following third parties. In such cases, we will provide necessary and appropriate supervision to ensure safe management of information by the outsourcing parties.

- Purpose: Generating responses for the AI chat feature
- Information provided: Inputs to the AI chat (we may process inputs to exclude information that can identify individuals)

- Purpose: User authentication, database, storage, analytics, crash reporting, push notifications
- Information provided: Account information, learning metrics, device information, log information
- Location: United States
Article 4 (International Data Transfers)
As described in Article 3, we provide your information to third parties located in the United States. For information regarding personal information protection systems in the United States, please refer to information provided by Japan’s Personal Information Protection Commission.

Article 5 (Retention Period and Requests for Deletion)
- We retain your information while you have an account for the App.
- If you withdraw from the App, we will delete your information within 30 days after withdrawal unless retention is required by laws and regulations or business necessity.
- You may request disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, or suspension of use of your personal information. If you wish to make such a request, please contact us at the contact point in Article 9 with information that allows us to verify your identity (e.g., your email address). After confirming your identity, we will respond promptly in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Article 6 (Security Measures)
We strive to keep your personal information accurate and up-to-date and take the following security measures to protect it from unauthorized access, tampering, leakage, loss, or damage.
- Encrypted communications: Communications between your device and our servers are encrypted using SSL/TLS.
- Access controls: Access to personal information is limited to employees who need it for business purposes, and we implement access controls.
- Incident response: In the event of a leakage incident or similar, we will report to relevant authorities and notify users promptly in accordance with laws and regulations.
Article 7 (Push Notifications)
To support your continued learning, we may send push notifications such as cooldown completion notices, summaries of unread messages, and quest suggestions. You can stop these notifications at any time from your device settings.
Article 8 (Changes to This Privacy Policy)
We may revise this Policy as necessary. If we make changes to this Policy that require user consent under laws and regulations, the revised Policy will apply only to users who have consented to the changes by a method prescribed by the Company. When we revise this Policy, we will notify users of the effective date and contents of the revised Policy by displaying it on our website or by other appropriate methods, or by directly notifying users.
